Terrance Arthur (Terry) Bach passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital, Salmon Arm, B.C. on Wed., Sept. 10, 2014 at the age of 66 years.
Born in Vernon, B.C. on June 18, 1948, Terry was an active resident of the Sicamous and Shuswap area for many years, well remembered for his zest for life and his love of aviation, both as a pilot and instructor. His work allowed him to live in a variety of communities, which also allowed him a variety of occupations to go along with his flying. Saw mill worker, biologist, commercial pilot, and guitar teacher, to name a few.
Terry was predeceased by his parents, Art in 1974 and Nellie in 1999, and his wife, Carol in 2006.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Sally Parrot, a stepdaughter, Jamie (Al) Verez of Dog Pound, Alberta and her children, Chet and Arden; four sisters: Eleanor Bach of Sicamous, Diane Vanderburg of Sicamous, Joan Barker of Lumby and Sharon Thibodeau of Sicamous, as well as a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Sicamous on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 2:00 p.m. with Jack Bowers as the funeral celebrant. Friends are welcome to bring along their musical instruments to partake in a jam session during the reception, which is being catered by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Legion.
