Steven Michael MOLLER

October 6, 2007

June 24, 1964 - October 6, 2007

Steve was tragically taken from us far too soon this past weekend and will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives were touched by him. He was so full of humour, kindness and compassion that any gathering instantly became a party when he arrived. Let’s say that Steve was an “adventurous boy” in his 100 Mile House childhood, who shared a love of camping, fishing, and hunting with his father Al (deceased in 1995) and mother Rae, his brother Keith and sister Karen. After Steve completed school, he worked for a logging company in 100 Mile House where he met the girl of his dreams, Janette. They were married on May 21, 1988 in Maple Ridge and Steve became a proud stepfather to Madelyn and Melissa. Not long after, the “apple of his eye,” Kristina, was born on April 28, 1989. Steve began his career with the Overwaitea Food Group starting out in the Richmond store in 1986, then transferred to Maple Ridge, then to Nanaimo, and finally to Williams Lake where he completed his 20th year with them in 2006 as Deli Manager. Still the adventurer, Steve recently moved to Kamloops and began a new career as Operations Manager for Munden Ventures. He greatly enjoyed the new challenges and opportunities that he faced as a part of their team. Family was Steve’s first priority, friends and social gatherings were his second passion. Always the “class clown,” loved and respected by all. Steve’s outdoor recreational interests ranged from off-shore angling around Vancouver Island, to river fishing in the Thompson, to fly-fishing lakes of the Cariboo, to exploring the backcountry on ATVs with friends and family. Janette and Steve were avid campers who always included their friends and family, as well as holding an annual family Scout Camp at Green Lake. Since moving to Kamloops, they have enjoyed working in their yard, spending time close to home with friends and with Kristina, who is now working on a Bachelor of Arts program at TRU. Steve will be terribly missed by his loving wife Janette, daughters Kristina, Maddie and Melissa (Devon), granddaughter Kaylyn, and grandson Braeden. Steve also leaves behind his mother Rae, sister Karen (Jim) and their children Pat (Laurie) and Lori (Al); brother Keith (Anna) and their children Karmen (Greg), Krista, Shelley, Evan, and Greg. Steve also loved Janette’s family; mother Vi, stepdad Dick, brother Kevin, and sisters Monica and Bobbi. Viewing will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2007 in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive. A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Pogue Mahone’s Irish Alehouse, 843 Desmond Street, Kamloops BC. Donations in Steve’s memory may be made to the BC Children’s Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
