Ruth Evelyne Smith, age 90, a resident of Fischer Place, passed away April 2, 2009. She was born on May 25, 1918 in Dapp, Alberta, the daughter of Einar and Abel Haugen. Ruth grew up in Victoria. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Ed) Ryhal, son Donald (Kim) Smith, sister Ellen Howard, and by her brother Alfred Haugen. Ruth is also survived by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
