It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Rose Ehrenholz on January 9, 2022.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) and son(Wayne) but survived by her three children Elaine Dyck, Diana Kowaliuk, and Ron Ehrenholz, with 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Born Rose Serdar on September 30, 1925, to Ika and Nicholas Serdar in Smiljanu, Yugoslavia from where Rose traveled with her mother in 1938 to meet her Dad in Wells, B.C. and relocating several years later to their homestead on Townshipline Road in Mt. Lehman, B.C.
Rose married on August 26, 1944, and was married 67 years before Dick passed away. They lived in Bradner for 42 years where they farmed and raised their family before relocating to Abbotsford in 1986.
Rose was one of the founding members of the Bradner Community Club where she volunteered to raise funds for the Bradner Hall, various charities, and children's sports teams.
To Rose family meant everything and this did not just mean the immediate family but she extended her sphere to include cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended families. Everyone was family and the door to Rose's house was always open where you would feel welcome, loved, and left well fed.
Rose Ehrenholz loved people, loved life, and was known by many loved by all.
Viewing is to be held on Jan. 21 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd, Abbotsford between 2 - 5 pm.
The date for the Celebration of life will be sometime later in the year.
