Jan 12, 1957 - Mar 19, 2018
Ron passed with his family at his side, after a short stay in 100 Mile Hospital and Fischer Place. He fought a long horrible battle of GBM Brain Cancer, for the past 2 and a half years. Ron was recently widowed after suddenly losing the love of his life, Carol, in September 2017. Ron never went a day without a tear after that. He missed her with every piece of his heart.

Ron was born in Penticton BC but raised in Gibson's, with 7 siblings, Wayne (Jean), Bonnie, Donna (Russ), Vicki (Harold), Barbie (Carl), Russ (Barb), Lori (Wally). He was predeceased by his parents Don and Viv Abrams and his sister Donna (Abrams) Bentham.

Everyone loved Ron for his witty and humorous character. He was smart as a whip and could tell any joke better than anyone we know! Even though he looked great on the outside, he was always in a lot of pain, yet still, when people asked how he was, he would say "fine as frogs hair" or "fine as a hair on a biscuit." That always made people laugh, and that's what he did best. Family was everything to Ron, and there was not a day that went by that he was not surrounded by a loved one.

We would like to thank everyone in our community for their love and support over the last few years, both financially and emotionally. The small communities of Forest Grove and 100 Mile has taught us so much of how our parents were both loved and respected by all who knew them. Also a huge thank you to our own families and friends who came from near and far to visit and spend time with our Dad, while he was in the hospital.

Dad, we miss you like crazy. Not a day goes by that we don't think about you and we just pray that you and mama are together now and at rest peacefully. Until we meet again, our Hero, our Dad our Papa XOXOXO we love you forever.

Shay, Chris, Kennedy, Hayley, Payton, Cole, Kristy, Mikayla, Colton, Russ, Miranda, Owen, Kaelin, Austyn, and mama Nita (G-Ma).
