March 22, 1957 - May 6, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Ronald Joseph Fisher on May 6th, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Ron's journey began on March 22nd, 1957 in Kelowna, B.C. where he spent many summers making some of his fondest memories. Although Ron was known in different ways to so many, the same people would tell you this in harmony - he was a loving, supportive, selfless human being.
Ron was an epic story teller, a nurturing father, a loyal friend and a man that everyone looked up to for guidance. He was our Northern Star.
Ron had many careers in his youth. His most successful was establishing RJ Fisher Transport in Vernon, B.C. in the late 1980s. His work family effortlessly and respectfully became an extension of his existing family. His business continues to thrive today in the hands of his youngest daughter Shelby.
Ron had many interests but his biggest passion was fly fishing. He spent time up north at Haa Nee Naa Lodge in the summer and the Bahamas in the winter with his buddy Clay. If you asked Ron, his greatest accomplishments did not come from his many adventures but rather in being a father, grandfather and loving husband. He put his family first - ALWAYS.
Ron is survived by his wife Cheryl; his children, Kristy (Taylor), Laura (Brian), Ryan (Sharon), Cari (Tyler), Robyn (Ryan), Cassandra and Shelby; his nine grandchildren as well as countless extended family members. He will be greatly missed by his moms, Del and Sharon; his sister, Kim (Rod) and his brother, Mark. Ron was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Fisher.
"Ron, Ronnie, RJ, Boss, Captain: You will be missed!"

In respecting Ron's wishes, he was cremated and due to current restrictions, a time of gathering is to be established at a later date. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at bethelchapel@uniserve.com
Cremation arrangements were made with Bethel Funeral Chapel Ltd., 5605-27th Street, Vernon, B.C. V1T 8Z5
