Ronald Arthur Rankin passed away after a valiant struggle with ALS on
August 8th, 2009. Ron was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on April 18th,
1944. Ron will be greatly missed by his daughter, Monica (Darrin); grandchildren,
Tyler, Justine, Jenna and Tristan; by his brother Leo (Connie); sisters, Catherine (Rick) and Ann (John); and many nieces, nephews and his dear friend Vicky. He was predeceased by his mother, Annie, and father, Hugh, and brothers, Donald and John. Ron was a long time resident of 100 Mile House where he was an electrician at Weldwood Sawmills for over 35 years. Ron had a great sense of humour and a zest for life. He prided himself on friendship and family and was always surrounded by many. His great big smile will be remembered forever! There will be a celebration of life on Friday August 14th, 2009 at Martin Exeter Hall at 3:00pm. A Social will follow at the Valley Room.
