1939-2021 ~ Bo Work left this world on August 25, 2021 at Peace Arch Hospital, after a brief illness.
He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Irene Work, along with daughters Cori, Lisa (Tony), Vicki (Kevin); step children Kim (Hazen), Jason (Leanne), 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends
Bo was born and raised in East Vancouver, lived throughout is life in Burnaby, Bellingham, California and retiring in the Cariboo. Working for Trev Deeley then Yamaha, where his passion for riding, racing and repairing motorcycles was truly a life's ambition.
In 1960, he won the Daytona along with Yvon DuHamel on their Yamaha reaching more that 150 mph.
In 2004 Bo was inducted into the Greater Vancouver Motorsport Pioneer Society Hall of Fame.
In November 2014, Bo was honoured as motorcyle race mechanic and pioneer and inducted into the Canadian Motorcyle Hall of Fame which showcased his illustrious career.
Many will remember him as the Ram Man in the Cariboo. He was always ready and able to help youth to learn how to ride, for helping friends and family in their times of need and for the annual pig roasts at Deka Lake.
Bo had a magnetic personality and where-ever he would go or be he would know someone and they would know him. He will be truly missed by Irene, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 2, 2021, at his family home in Lone Butte, for more information please call Irene at 250-395-8990 - Covid regulations will be in place dress warmly and bring a chair as it will be held outside.
