Feb. 24, 1926 – Sept. 17, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob at his home.
He lived life to the fullest and was thankful for what life had brought his way.
He is survived by his wife Rene, children: Mike (Linda), Jan (Ivan) Christianson, Dale (Mike) Roblin and stepsons: Bob, Ken, Wayne (Lorraine) and Rick (Lisa) Lewington. He is also survived by one sister Louise Wagner and 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Betty, in 1999; brothers: Jeff, Howard, Scott and sisters: Ruby, Pearl, Juanita and Grace.
Bob came from humble beginnings but was generous and appreciated everything he had. Bob served overseas in WWII and was a Legion member for 42 years. He was an awesome father, working many jobs to provide us with the best. His retirement dreams were realized when he built a house at Sheridan Lake and loved his 35 years in the Cariboo with all its outdoor recreations – especially fishing – winter and summer.
As Rene says “He was a good little fella.”
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice in Bob’s name would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Creekside Seniors Centre.
