It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Daniel Stewart, at his home in Lac La Hache, B.C.
“Robbie” was born in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, the youngest of six children, and moved with his family to Lac La Hache, B.C. in 1955. Robert worked in the construction industry until a back injury left him unable to work. Robert loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting, camping, fishing and driving the back roads of Lac La Hache and area. His greatest pride and joy in life was his daughter Jessica (whom he nicknamed Rosica) and he was always there for her. He supported her every endeavor.
Robert is predeceased by his parents Susan and Cyrus Stewart, his brother Doug and his sisters Maurita and Leona.
Robert is survived by his loving daughter Jessica (Barry), brother Bernard (Sharon), sister Helen, nieces, nephews and many good friends including his ex-wife Valerie.
At his request, no service will be held. We will have a “scattering of the ashes” gathering in the spring. Please send us your contact information via www.100milefuneralservice.com if you wish to attend the scattering of the ashes.
