May 1, 1938 - Apr 1, 2018
Richard (Dick) Sellars, age 79, died of age related complications on April 1, 2018, in 100 Mile House BC.

Dick was born on May 1, 1938 in Courtenay BC. Brought to the Cariboo on his 9th birthday by his parents Dick and Irene Sellars, they were among the early families to settle in Forest Grove. Dick attended school through grade 10 in a one-room schoolhouse before completing his education in Williams Lake while staying in the dorm.

Dick worked at Ainsworth Lumber from 1961 until his retirement in 1998. Dick enjoyed working in many capacities with countless co-workers, many of whom became lifelong friends.

Dick loved the desert and enjoyed several post- retirement winters spent in the warm California sunshine.

Dick is survived by and will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy, his three children, Barbara (Sean), John and Susan (Kevin), and his much loved grandchildren, Brennan, Caitlin, Kira and Jenna, his brother Dean (Sherry), sister Maureen (Dan) as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and by his first grandson, Coel. His little white dog, Charlie, will also be missing him greatly.

The family would like to thank the many healthcare professionals for their kind assistance during the last period of Dick's life.

At Dick's request there is no formal service being arranged at this time.
