(Raymond) Joseph Alphonse ALAIN

April 18, 2006

Passed away suddenly at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver on April 18, 2006. Born Oct. 12, 1915 in Battleford, Sask., Ray as a young man, along with his father, mother and sisters, moved to Mission, B.C. where he met and married Josephine Carrat and raised their family. Ray worked as a truck driver and mechanic in the Fraser Valley in the logging industry. He moved to Campbell River and worked on the Island before his retirement in 1981. He and Jo then bought property in Lac la Hache where they both enjoyed their retirement to the fullest. Ray loved life, he loved his work as a logger, his home and his family and we will miss him very much. We will miss his laughter, his love, and his kindness and of course all his stories. Ray leaves behind his wife Josephine, his daughters Sheran MacLaren (Dave) and Bonnie Jackson; along with

six grandchildren and a new great grandson. He also leaves three sisters; Annette, Cam

and Jean along with nieces, nephews and so many friends. Ray was predeceased by his parents, brother Frank and sister Yvette. A service will be held in Mission. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
