At the age of 77, Ray passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in 100 Mile House, B.C. Ray was born in Skatin, B.C. (formerly Skookumchuck) to Elizabeth Anne Peters and Ambrose Williams. Ray lived at the Canim Lake Reserve for over 40 years. Ray was self-employed for many years with his company ‘Ray’s Backhoe Service’. He was an avid horseman and travelled the rodeo-circuit with his family and friends. He was also the coach for the men’s hockey team from Canim Lake, ‘The Warriors’. He also loved to mechanic in his spare time. Ray is survived by his wife of 47 years, Antoinette; and their children: Ed, Denise (Roy), George (Michelle), Greg (Tami), Angela (Mark), Juanita (Robert), Owen (Reni) and is predeceased by their son Alex. He leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren behind.
