March 30, 1922 - May 6, 2010

Patrick was born in Rathkeal, County Limerick, Ireland. He joined the Airborne, 3rd Battalion Paratrooper at age 19. He served in England, Holland, Sicily, and Palestine, and was captured in Arnhem, Holland.

He emigrated to Canada in 1953 and became a citizen in 1958. He worked and excelled in many different trades. Paddy moved to the Cariboo in 1982, living first at Pressy Lake, then at Upper Ranchettes, and later moved to Cariboo Trail Villas. He enjoyed his passion for fishing and hunting with his friends Mark, Curt, and Tom.

Patrick died at the age of 88, in Mill Site Lodge, 100 Mile House. He was predeceased by his parents and all his siblings. He was the last born of a large family. He was also predeceased by his son Glenn in 2002 age 43, in Vancouver.

Patrick is survived by his loving wife Patricia, sons Chris of Surrey, Leonard of New Westminster, niece Brenda (Robert) Cumiskey of Aldergrove.

Also left to mourn, the McKinnon family, Mark (Colleen), God-son Joseph, Brandon, and Candice of Burnaby. Also many other friends and work mates.

Patrick will always be remembered for his joy in making others laugh.

No local services by request. As per his wishes his ashes will be scattered at the “Special Place” with Glenn, at that time, a Celebration of Life will be held in Burnaby.
