With Al and friends at her side, Pat left her family, friends and community on the morning of October 25, 2010.

Pat was born in Vancouver on September 20, 1949 to parents William and Helen Cebuliak. With sisters Jackie, Judy, and Penny, she grew up as a Cariboo girl living in Quesnel, Enterprise and eventually 100 Mile House, where she finished high school and left for Simon Fraser University.

While home from university in 1967 she met her future husband Al Menduk, a new teacher to 100 Mile, while playing women’s hockey at the local outdoor rink. After a long distance courtship, they married in 100 Mile House where they raised their sons Stanley and Darrell. A community person, Pat was active as a coach, mentor, and surrogate mom to countless youth. Schools and many organizations in our town benefited greatly from her involvement.

Known for her strength and courage, Pat lived up to expectation throughout her trials with cancer and worried only for those she would leave behind.

A Memorial service will be held at the 100 Mile Community Hall on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Pat Menduk Memorial Scholarship at the 100 Mile House Royal Bank.
