Orville Jackson “Jack” SUTTLES

March 22, 2006

Born April 9, 1921 at McKee Kentucky. Passed away Wed., March 22, 2006 at Baldur, Man. Jack leaves to mourn his passing two daughters: Berdenea Broes of Tarzana, Calif. and Juanita Corbett (Patrick) of 108 Mile Ranch, B.C.; sons Orville “Jack” Suttles Jr. (Patricia) of Riverside, Calif., John Suttles of Valencia, Calif., 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many friends. Jack was born in Kentucky on April 9, 1921. At the age of five years he wrote his first song with another 369 songs to follow through the years of his life. He worked as a maintenance electrician for over 40 years, but his first love was the music he played and created. He put together a country and western band and had his two daughters sing. They appeared on the Grand Ole Opry and sang with Johnny Cash, Porter Wagner, Grandpa Jones and Barbara Mandrell. He was a lifelong friend with “Stringbean” from Grand Ole Opry fame. Jack retired in 1979 and spent the rest of his life traveling and playing his music, writing over a hundred of his songs about the Lord. He played and witnessed in churches and any place that he could draw an audience of at least one. I do believe he is one man that got to do all he wanted to do. He played his music for thousands. Now his audience has increased by millions for eternity. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
