Norris Wellings passed away on the evening of November 8th, 2010 in 100 Mile House, at the age of 74. Norris was born in Manitoba, and moved to British Columbia with his family in the early 1960s. During his working life, he was well known for his artistic talent as an illustrator and muralist. In the mid 1980s he started what would become a thriving family sign business that is still carried on to date by his daughter Tracey. Norris retired from the family business in 1998, and moved to 100 Mile House shortly after, to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country.

Norris was predeceased by his mother Caroline Christina Wellings (Tweed) and father John Elsmore Wellings. He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 50 years Anne, one son: John “Butch” (Tarra); three grandchildren: Lindsay, James and Melissa; two daughters: Tracey (Norman) and Beth (Joe); as well as many family and friends in Manitoba, Delta, Mission, and 100 Mile House.
