April 21, 1942 - Dec. 30, 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Norm Schuler on December 30th. Norm is survived by his loving wife Donna of 41 years, son Alan and wife Tracy (Calvin, Hanna and Clare), daughter Marie and husband Brent (Rachel, Alexis and Fraser) and son Neil. He is also survived by his mother Catherine of Vancouver and sister Marlene Robertson (Bob) of Salmon Arm and extended relatives, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Born to Albert and Catherine Schuler, Norm was raised in Vancouver, B.C., where he later graduated from UBC earning his teaching degree. Norm’s family and teaching career began in Prince George, B.C. The Schuler family then moved to 100 Mile House where he taught for the last 22 of his 32 year teaching career. Norm dearly enjoyed the community and life that 100 Mile House and the Cariboo provided for him and his family. My husband, our dad, grandpa, uncle and your great friend was full of love. We all felt it and all of our lives have been forever shaped by that love. He is missed already but will be remembered in our hearts forever. The Schuler family would like to thank all of their relatives, dear family and community friends for their endless help, love and support during this very difficult time. In memory of Norm, donations can be made to the 100 Mile House General District Hospital Authority (Box 851, 100 Mile House, B.C. VOK 2E0).
