It is with great sadness to announce the sudden loss of Mr. Michael Kovalcik on February 21st 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Helga of 71 years, sons Michael, Christopher (Nicole), and granddaughter Alexandra. Mike was born in Slovakia on February 26, 1928 and found his way to Ocean Falls in the early 50’s. While corresponding with Helga, he asked her to marry him and they were married on April 1st, 1967. They lived a spell in Saskatchewan and have resided in Lac La Hache for the past 30 years. Our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Kamloops Hospital.
