1944 - 2010

With sadness we say goodbye to our good friend and husband Mike Wingfield. Mike left us on June 24, 2010 and will be missed by his loving wife Ellen and the many other friends he made while living in the Clinton area. Mike was raised in North Vancouver, was a fireman for a number of years before taking up a successful career in sales. He was a sailor, a biker, a fighter, a handyman and an extraordinary raconteur. He attacked every new project with enthusiasm and excitement and crammed as much living into his life as possible. No formal service by request.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glint on snow.

I am the sun on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning hush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.
