It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Ellis Granberg. Michael was born on August 16, 1972 at the 100 Mile District General Hospital, he died on June 18, 2016.

He grew up on his parent’s ranch and he spent many years operating the family ranch at Roe Lake. Michael was a true gentleman, with a kind heart and giving spirit. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. His nieces and nephews were always eager to have Uncle Mike show them how to operate the ranch equipment, and Michael enjoyed teaching them. They always looked forward to quad and horseback rides, and other adventures with Uncle Mike. He was a friend to many, and will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Michael was always willing to lend a hand and help out others.

As Michael always looked forward to, and found time to volunteer at the Bridge Lake Rodeo, we ask that donations be made to the Bridge Lake Rodeo Association in his memory or to a charity of your choice.

Michael is survived by his mother Gun; sisters Chris and Vicky; brothers Norm (Jacquelyn) and Lars (Colleen); and by his nieces, Brittany, Hailey, and Paige; and nephews, Shae and Leif. Michael was predeceased by his father ‘Curly’ (aka Harold) and his brother Garth.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Interlakes Community Complex on Sunday,

August 14, 2016 at 1:00pm.
