May 3, 1938 – April 25, 2009

With his family by his side, Bob passed away peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 20 years, Loretta, as well as his five children, two stepchildren, 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and many dear friends.

Bob will be remembered for his gentle and easy going nature, love of the outdoors, devotion to his family and his witty sense of humor. He enjoyed a prominent career in the construction industry as being a well-known and respected superintendent of many major projects around the province until his retirement in 1998. Because of their love of the Cariboo country, Bob and Loretta became the proud owners of the Lone Butte General Store from 1991 – 2004. Bob valued people and their stories and took a genuine interest in all those he met.

We are ever so grateful for the love and friendship that he offered to so many. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Vithalal and to the staff at the 100 Mile Hospital for their kindness and support.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Lone Butte Community Hall, on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00am - 2:00pm
