November 5, 1940 - February 25, 2023
In loving memory ~
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Maurice (Moe) Conway after a courageous battle with Leukaemia. Moe passed at home on February 25th surrounded by his wife and children. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia, devoted children Kimberley (Brad), Tracey (Steve), and Todd, 7 adoring grandchildren, daughter-in-law Cheryl and brother-in-law Gordon.
Moe was born November 5th, 1940 in North Vancouver. He started his career as a heavy-duty mechanic later joining the District of North Vancouver Fire Department serving 29 years and retiring as Deputy Fire Chief in 1996.
After raising their family, Pat and Moe left Coquitlam and moved to the Cariboo where they built their dream home on Horse Lake. Moe's greatest passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren cherishing the opportunity to share his beloved Cariboo and all nature had to offer. Moe enjoyed travelling, hunting, fishing, camping and boat rides on the lake with family and friends.
Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at 100 Mile Hospital for their compassion and care.
No service by Moe's request. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Society or the Canadian Blood Services.
A family celebration to honour his life will be held this summer.
