Maurice LEVESQUE

March 24, 2007

Maurice was born in Saint Donat, Quebec to a large family. He left home at an early age and worked from the age of 17 as a faller until his retirement (although he never retired from his chainsaw). Maurice came to B.C, in 1964 and called it home. He settled in 100 Mile House in 1975 with his family. Maurice loved hunting and fishing with his friends and could tell stories with the best of them, he could always be counted on to lend a hand and loved his family and friends. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully March 24, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Liliane; daughter Tammy (William) Holyk and his precious granddaughters Ashley and Megan. He also leaves behind step-son Marc Theriault (Tammy), step-daughter Carole (Maurice) Guillemette, as well as 8 step grandchildren and 4 great step grandchildren. He loved kids and they loved him. He is also remembered by his brothers Louis (Theresa) Levesque of Dieppe, NB, Adolphe (Ghislaine) Levesque of Rimouski, PQ, and sisters Marie-Anna Gagnon of Rimouski, PQ, Marie-Laure (Lucien) Rioux of Cowansville, PQ, Laurence Lavallée of Tracy, PQ, and Sr. Louise Levesque of Rimouski, PQ. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces in Quebec and Ontario, and nephews Jean (Denise) Levesque of Terrace, BC and Real (LouJane) Levesque of Prince George, BC. Maurice had many great friends that cherish his memory. There will be a funeral mass at St. Judes Church on March 31, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
