Marion June Rosemarie (nee Janis) Forsberg, age 82 years, was called to her heavenly home on November 21st, 2016, surrounded by her large and loving family.
Born in Vancouver on June 4th, 1934, “June”, to everyone who knew her, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; filling the role of matriarch and touching the lives of everyone who had the good fortune of knowing her.
On June 5th, 1953, she married her best friend and life partner, Vincent Forsberg. They shared 63 years as husband and wife and together they raised 7 loving children. Upon retirement, they resided and spent their golden years at “the cabin” on Sheridan Lake; giving the family a place to visit where they shared many good times and created many fond memories. They spent 27 wonderful years there; forming many special relationships with their neighbours who were welcomed into their family.
She will be forever remembered and deeply treasured by her beloved husband, Vince, her devoted children; Christine (Stanley) Wong, Catherine (Richard) Lowe, June (Tim) Forsberg, Vincent (Shelley) Forsberg, Sergio Catania and Harry (Suzanne) Forsberg. Adored and fun-loving grandma to Alexander, Ryan, Jonathan, Aaron (Tracy), Darren, Stacy (Allistair), Michelle, Vincent, Linnea, Jason, Sean, Jordan, Ashley, Tyler, Brandon, Jennifer, Rachel (Travis), Benjamin and Natasha; as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
Our ‘Matriarch Angel’ is now in heaven, reunited with her son, Robert Forsberg, her daughter, Doreen Catania and her two sisters, Doreen Neuls and Loretta Weinberg.
Funeral Service and Interment on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at 12pm: Victory Memorial Park, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC.
