Margorie was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She moved to the Lower Mainland in 1924. She met and married Ralph Capnerhurst in February 1943 and moved to 100 Mile House in 1954, with four small children: Juanita, Jack, Terry, and Donna; and Harold who came along a few years later.
In 1973, Marge continued her busy life with her partner of 38 years Fred Peeters.
She was a volunteer for Lady Lions, Royal Purple, 100 Mile Ladies Auxiliary Branch 260 past president. She also volunteered for many years at Creekside Senior Center and many other organizations. She had many interests and hobbies, one of which was bowling; she also loved carpet bowling and playing crib.
Margorie was predeceased by her daughter Juanita in 1961 and her parents John and Edith Shearsmith, and stepchildren Bert, Lennie, Marty and Freddie
She is survived by her partner Fred Peeters and her children: Jack (Darlene), Terry (Norma), Donna, Harold (Jeannie); 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service was held for Margorie on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Creekside Senior Centre.
