Lynwood E. (Lynn) Pugsley

July 29, 2003

January 20, 1925 - July 29, 2003

Lynn Pugsley was born in Vancouver and died at 100 Mile House Hospital after a lengthy illness. Surviving this wonderful husband and caring father are his loving wife, Olga; his children Deborah (Debbie) Pugsley (Fred Wohler) from Mission, Marla Falconer (Michael), Karen Taylor (Robert) of Canim, Randy Beauchamp, and Bill Hutton (Jillian) of Richmond; his two grandchildren, Philip and Emilie; his sister Margaret (Peggy) DuPuis from Kelowna; sister-in-law Mary Alexander from San Francisco, CA; and his life-long friend Norman Boyd from Kelowna; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as the greatest of neighbors and friends. Lynn was predeceased by his parents, William and Lida Pugsley, who were born in St. Catherine, Ontario; by his first wife, Catherine, mother of his daughter Debbie; his sister, Lucille Cruickshank from Centralia, WA; his brother-in-law Gerry DuPuis from Kelowna; and his uncle, the infamous Charlie Lauder from Buffalo Creek.

At the age of 17 1/2 Lynn started working for B.C. Electric, now B.C. Hydro. For the first two weeks his job was to clean the oil off the cement floors. He went on to become a mechanic. Lynn retired 45 1/2 years later, at which time he moved from Richmond to his beloved Cariboo, where he & Olga settled at Canim Lake. Lynn's kind and gentle nature earned him many friends who will miss him and remember him kindly. Lynn requested cremation and no funeral service. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to Box 97, Canim Lake, B.C. V0K 1J0.

"We all will miss his wonderful smile and the little twinkle he always seemed to have in his eyes and the humour which always seemed to be just behind that smile."
