Lloyd passed away peacefully in the 100 Mile Hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. Lloyd was born in Ardmore, Alberta and met his wife Karen in Lillooet, B.C. They married in 1963 and had two children: Dianne and Cliff. Many friends were made in the many places they lived: Lillooet, Princeton, Burns Lake, Smithers, Nelson, and finally 100 Mile House. Lloyd spent the majority of his working career with the Highways Department and the Ministry of Forests. Lloyd was well known for his great sense of humor, hard work, and the warm welcome he gave people. Lloyd retired early and enjoyed many years in the outdoors camping, fishing and enjoying life. Lloyd is survived by his wife Karen, his son Cliff (Dawn), daughter Dianne (Keith) and grandson Jake, as well as his brothers Joe (Emily), John (Anne) and sister Maryanne (Gordon). He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a very special grandfather and a great guy to those that were fortunate to know him. He will be missed dearly. A celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held on March 31, 2007 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Lone Butte Community Hall.
