Lillian Marie HONEYBOURN (nee Duquette)

Lillian Marie Honeybourn (nee Duquette) passed away suddenly on October 15, 2005. Kind and generous, strong in faith, she was cherished by so many. Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband, Tom, parents Joseph and Virginia Duquette, and one brother, Roger Duquette. She is survived by sons William (Marnie) and Jeffrey (Annette), and four grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Clayton, and Stephanie; also one brother, Denis Duquette (Bea), and many friends and extended family members. Born in Coderre, Sask. on Sept. 4, 1929, Lillian grew up in Weyburn, where she earned her Psychiatric Nursing Degree. She later nursed in Fort Qu’Appelle Hospital in Saskatchewan, Tranquille TB Sanitarium and Woodlands Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam, B.C., where she cared for and taught children who were severely challanged. Lillian and Tom later moved to 100 Mile House where they owned and operated the Kamber Lodge and also, Lillian’s Fabric and Quilting. They retired to 108 Ranch. Following the death of her husband, Lillian moved to White Rock, B.C. where she resided for the past three years. Funeral service was held Oct. 19, 2005 at Star of the Sea Parish, White Rock. Lillian’s ashes were interred Oct. 21, 2005 at Gardens of Gethsemani, White Rock.
