In Loving Memory ~
Lee Peters passed away peacefully in the early hours of April 19th, 2022 after a quiet 4 year struggle with lung cancer.
His legacy still lives on at Lee's Custom Floors, as many residents will remember him by his decades of flooring excellence in the area. Originally from Saskatchewan, raised in Surrey, a hunting trip brought him through Lone Butte in the 1970's where he bought a piece of land and told his family they were moving to God's Country.
A staple at Old Tom Jones and later at Smitty's, Lee never left the Cariboo.
In the flooring industry, he was heralded for his ingenuity and he spent many happy hours creating new possibilities in tools. In the community, he was a charismatic silver fox, friend to all.
Lee has been cremated and did not wish for a service. Perhaps in the future, his ashes will find their way to a fishing hole where his son Clay also found his resting place.
