May 8, 1963 - July 20, 2022
Kim Giesbrecht, age 59, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 after a four year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Kim was born to Robert and Anne Callander in Princeton, BC. Throughout her life Kim lived in various locations in BC before settling into 108 Mile Ranch.
Kim was an exceptional daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, and confidant. She was kind, caring, compassionate, and dedicated much of her life to helping others through her work as a pharmacist. Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at UBC in 1987. She later owned and operated the 100 Mile House Pharmasave with her dear friend and business partner Deb Wiltshire for over 20 years, and spent many years serving the National Board of Pharmasave.
In 1989 Kim married Tim Giesbrecht and together raised two children Luke and Sydney. Kim and Tim had a collaborative and caring relationship. It was based on mutual support and a deep love for each other. Their time together as a family was full of love and rich with adventure. At Kim's request there will be no formal departure ceremony.
An informal gathering will be held at the Family's property on Lac La Hache September long weekend. Family has and will continue to come together to celebrate Kim's incredible life. The family would like to thank the 100 Mile Hospice & Palliative Care Society, and the staff at Fischer Place for their care and kindness in Kim's final days.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making remembrances in her name to the 100 Mile Hospice and Palliative Care Society.
"What you leave behind is not what is engraved in monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others"
