It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Thomas Newton in his 91st year on June 28, 2016.
Ken retired to the Cariboo (Deka Lake) in 1986. He loved being at the lake and he also enjoyed his many travels here and afar. Ken brought joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure to know him.
He is survived by his wife Gladys of 60 years, son Ken (Robin), daughter Darlene Tough (Robert) and is predeceased by his son Dennis in 2001.
He also leaves behind his younger brother Gary (Gail) Newton and family.
He will be truly missed by his five grandchildren Kevin (Kelly), Kendra (James Murphy), Ryan, Chelsea (Justin Lammi), Jonathan (Rose) and his great granddaughter, Madeleine Murphy. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank all the Dr.’s, nurses, and care givers at Fischer Place and 100 Mile District General Hospital.
A service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 2 pm at the Deka Lake Fire Hall.
