Born in Prince Albert, Sask., May 4, 1931. Passed away at the 100 Mile House hospital on Jan. 16, 2004 after a five year battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Rod who was always by her side over their 52 years of marriage; her sister Joan (Charlie); brothers Doug (Linda) and Bob (Barb); sons Rod (Gail) and Dan (Nancy); daughter Kathy (Brent), nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Kay was predeceased by her sister Margaret and her son Pat in 1989. Kay’s family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Dickey for his dedication to her care and the nurses and staff of the 100 Mile House District General Hospital for their compassion. Kay had many wonderful years at her home on Deka Lake and enjoyed the activities of the Deka Lake Ladies Auxiliary. She made many devoted friends at Deka Lake who supported her during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CKNW Orphans Fund. A celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Thurs., Jan. 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home in Surrey at 14660 - 72nd Avenue.
