It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Ernest Furer on Aug. 12, 2003 in Royal Inland Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born and raised in Burnaby, B.C. He became a journeyman steamfitter, gasfitter, and plumber then formed his own mechanical company before moving to the Cariboo in 1974. For the remainder of his working life, Jack was involved in the Feed and Building Supply business. After retiring in 1990, Jack enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and summers fishing and camping in the Cariboo. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Dorothy Furer, brother Robert and son Michael. Survived by Linda, loving wife of 40 years; sons Paul (Lexie), Rob (April) and grandchildren: Danny, Maria, Kalen, Dakota and Ethan.
