1931 - 2006
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Douglas Hinkes on May 22, 2006 at 74 years of age. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and soul mate of almost 51 years, Mary Jane (Chic), his daughters Janell (Dale) Prokop of Kamloops, BC and Shanna (Joe) Bouwknecht of 100 Mile House, BC; as well as his grandchildren Joey and Halley. He is also survived by his brother Corky (Kay) of Clinton, BC; his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, great friends and his best friend of 57 years, Jack Walch. Doug was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Rudy, and his brother Wallace. In lieu of flowers, donations to any children’s charity would be greatly appreciated.
