May 13 1944 - Dec. 18, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Barthelot of Lac la Hache, B.C.

Born in New Brunswick, “Bondo” John, as he was affectionately known, moved to Lac la Hache in 1984 where he started and operated John’s Auto Body for many years.

John loved life and loved helping anyone who needed it. He had a huge heart and was liked by all who knew him. He had a great sense of humour as well.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and ATVing. Some of his happiest times were camping at Crooked Lake and entertaining friends around his backyard fireplace.

John will be sadly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Liz Bergeron; stepchildren Judy (Gerald) Clarke of Fort Nelson, B.C.; Don (Jackie) Bergeron of Prince George, B.C.; grandchildren Michael (Megan) Clarke)and Natalie (Eric) Thompson of Fort Nelson, B.C.; great-grandchild Acacia Clarke of Fort Nelson, B.C.; brother Benoit (Ben) Barthelot of Balmoral N.B. and sister Dola Barthelot of Quebec.

There will be no service at present by request, but there will be a Celebration of Life to be held in late spring 2011.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
