John Barrington Hayes, born March 16, 1926 passed away April 13, 2005 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Leonie; son Roy (Mona), Watch Lake, B.C.; daughter Sharon (Bob), Kitimat, B.C.; son Robert (Judith), Lone Butte, B.C.; brother Larry (Marge), Surrey, B.C.; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. John’s journey through adversity and pain was met with courage, determination and humour! He will be sadly missed by all his family but he will never be forgotten - we all loved him very much, therefore each one of us will always have a very special place in our hearts for such a wonderful man. Thank you to the nursing staff at the palliative care unit for the wonderful care and kindness that was shown by all on his last few days while in the hospital, and to Dr. Street for his concern and attentiveness as well as his words of support and kindness.
