Mr. Blackstock died peacefully in Vernon, B.C. on April 15, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Born in New Westminster, B.C., Mr. Blackstock lived in 100 Mile House, B.C. from 1946 to 1980. He and Reita were married in Clinton in 1957. Together they moved to Armstrong, B.C. in 1980. Mr. Blackstock was a carpenter by trade. He also farmed and worked in the construction industry. His interests involved hunting, fishing and being in the outdoors. Mr. Blackstock is survived by his wife Reita, Armstrong; three sons: Darryl, Armstrong; Loren, Ashton Creek; and Steven (Lynda), Enderby, B.C.; a daughter Linda in Australia; seven grandchildren: Shyla, Mandy, Wayne, Nia, Savana, Ali and Jennifer; two great grandchildren; brother Stan in Savona, B.C.; sisters Gloria Duffin in the South Okanagan and Bernice Campbell in New Westminster and extended families. Mr. Blackstock was predeceased by son Wayne, a sister and his parents.
