Joel was born in the 100 Mile Hospital and attended 70 Mile Elementary, 100 Mile Junior, and the PSO Secondary School. He loved to fish and was an avid hunter spending many hours combing Mount Rosemary looking for grouse. Joel enjoyed paintball and volunteered at 70 Mile access centre paintball field and 70 Mile VFD. He loved riding his dirt bike. Joel is survived by his mother Linda Curson and her partner Cheyenne, sisters; Sarah (Davey), Sarah Casperson, and Cindy Bittner along with many, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and the entire community of 70 Mile. “It takes a Community to raise a child.”
