July 17, 1942 - August 13, 2021
Our beloved husband and father Jerry Howard, age 79, went to be with his Heavenly Father after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Aug 13, 2021.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years LaVerne (Gerbrandt), daughters; Danyelle Howard of 100 Mile House, Brandie Pacheco (Tony) of Manning AB, Amarech Beauregard (Daniel) of Abbotsford, son Berhanu Howard (Lissett) of Chillwack BC, sister Kristine Chapman (Terry) of Red Deer AB and sister in law Maxine Howard of Leduc AB.
Jerry's grandchildren, Keely and Treyton Pacheco, Xavier and Veronica Beauregard were his pride and joy and the reason for the sparkles in his eyes, along with his many foster children and extended family.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Clive and Anne Howard of Stettler AB, and brother Rod Howard of Leduc AB.
Jerry was born July 17, 1942 in Stettler AB. He was the oldest of three children and grew up playing on his grandparents farm, and getting in to many misfit adventures with his friends.
During his school years Jerry lived and breathed stopping pucks in the winter and throwing fast balls in summer. Upon graduating high school in 1960 he started a career as a Recreational Director in and around the north of AB and BC. In 1983 he moved to 100 Mile House with his family and started building a large resume till he became part of Weldwood (later West Fraser) till he retired in 2007.
Jerry was a believer in God and every chance he got he would spread the word to both friends and strangers alike. He believed with such passion and conviction, he lived and breathed kindness and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Jerry was a outgoing and joyful man who coached and played community sports for a majority of his life. He enjoyed reading his bible, and social gatherings with family and friends especially if it involved a picnic basket! He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
