Jean Grant Endacott (nee Jamieson) passed on April 22, 2010, with her boots on.
Giving, giving… Jean’s spirit was indomitable.
In her early years, a part of her family’s mining, ranching and road construction pursuits, Jean embodied this province’s hopes and dreams.
Strong, self reliant, and community minded. Giving, giving.
Married to Don, she raised Ceci and Rod, along with a south Vancouver neighbourhood that naturally drew close. “Aunt Jean” was precious in the hearts of her Jamieson clan. At 92 years of age, she didn’t have too many of her friends left, but she had several very good ones.
Later, on her own, she came back to the Cariboo for her later years, touching many with humor, fun, passion, and all-in-all love of life. Always with a keen sense, a warrior’s sense, for that which was right and true.
We carry on, this wonderful spirit. Thank-you Jean.
