Jane Felker (nee Prak)

November 25, 1955 – December 22, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Felker announces her passing on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the age of 63 years.

Jane was born in Vancouver to Bert and Jenny Prak and grew up in Ladner, BC. She married Ray in 1976 and they had 2 children, Nicole (1977) and Gary (1979). In 1981 they moved to 100 Mile House where they had 2 more children, Lisa (1982) and Aaron (1984).

Jane served on the boards of many organizations including 100 Mile Minor Hockey Association as well as the South Cariboo Arena Society.

In 2004 Jane was diagnosed with breast cancer, which she proudly and courageously beat. She then formed the 100 Mile Angels with her friend April and raised thousands of dollars for the Canadian Breast Cancer Society. Jane completed her last 5K Run for the Cure on September 30, 2018.

Jane spent her retirement years tending to her beautiful greenhouse, cooking and canning, doting on her grandchildren, and taking many mini road trips with her husband.

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years Ray, children Nicole (Mark), Gary, Lisa (Eric), Aaron and her 6 grandchildren Noah, Trey, Savannah, Logan, Maya and Sienna, mother Jenny, brother John (Laurie), sister Yvonne and many nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her father Bert, sister Diane, mother-in-law Nora and father-in-law Andy.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 5 at 2 pm at the Old Buffalo Creek Elementary School, 5282 Canim-Hendrix Lake Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC Cancer Foundation, or 100 Mile Hospital.
