With sadness and a heavy heart we announce the passing of James (Jim) Wallace French. He will be missed every day. Jim was born in Vita Manitoba on May 25th, 1950. Passed away on June 26th, 2021
Jim and his wife Corinne spent years camping in the Cariboo and finally moved to 100 Mile in 1979. Jim was an active Kinsmen and Rotary member for years. Jim and Rodger Henderson became partners of Sunrise Ford and together ran a successful business and a close friendship. Jim loved the Cariboo for all that it offered.
He played hockey, snowmobiling, curling, fishing, baseball, camping, hiking and travelling. He biggest love and passion was yearly hunting trip in the fall with family and buddies.
He is survived by his wife Corinne of 50 years and cousin Tom, sister Pat (Garry), sister Roxanne (Terry), brother Keith (Rita), sister Cathy (Mike), brother Terry (Fran), sister-in-law Carol, many nephews and nieces and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents, brothers Bill and Ron.
Special thank you to Dr. Lubbe and Dr. Street. The amazing Home & Community Care nurses and Home Care aides. You are amazing and special groups of ladies and wonderful team without your support I would not have been able to have Jim at home. Also thank you to Donex Pharmacy, Dustin , Brian and staff for your help and kindness.
From the bottom of my heart, would like to thank Heather & Bob, Larry & Dianne, Jack & Lynda, Judy, Donna, Wendy, Carol and Patti. Your support helped me be strong.
Cousin Tom, words don't seem enough. You never hesitated to be with us 24/7. You know how much Jim & I appreciated all of your support and love and how much we love you.
