Jacob Grey Noisecat Archie

December 19, 1976 - July 8, 2020

Suddenly and unexpectedly, Jake was taken from us. He was born in 100 Mile House, and was raised in Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Canim Lake. After completing high school, Jake went on to obtain a fine arts diploma from Fraser Valley College, a Bachelor of Indigenous Studies and a Certificate in Leadership and Governance from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and a Law Degree from Thompson River University in Kamloops. Jake was a master networker. He loved connecting with family, friends, and colleagues. He was a great artist, golfer, crib player, dart player and champion pool player. He loved his pool league. He loved to cook and he loved to eat good food. He loved the outdoors and harvesting traditional medicines. He loved telling and listening to stories. Recently, he had taken up rock polishing and carving. An incredibly multi-talented man whose absence will leave a huge hole in many lives. Jake was predeceased by his father, Percy Archie. He is survived by his mother, Trudy, his partner, Carrie, his sister Alberta (Marty), his brother Ben, nieces Jasmine, Sarah and Katharine, nephews Hamish (godson) and Cordell, too many special people to list who Jake considered family along with dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Viewing will be Wednesday July 15, 10:00 am at Cariboo-Chilcotin Funeral Services, 180 Comer St. Williams Lake, BC. Limited Service due to Covid will be noon at the Canim Lake Pow-Wow Arbour Thursday July 16. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to "Literacy Matters Abbotsford" in Abbotsford, BC
