Irma Ruth McMillan (nee Malm), a long time Cariboo resident, passed away unexpectantly, but peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2005. She will be fondly remembered by her loving husband Glenn; sons Howard and Wayne (Else); and daughter Pam (Don); grandchildren Paul, Ben, Jaime, Ryan, Darren, Danielle and Jessica; brother Howard (Linda); sisters Marie (Dowling), Nancy (Ron), Verna (Brad) and Grace; as well as her large extended family and friends. Irma was born on December 10, 1934 to Ed and Velma Malm at Roe Lake, and attended the Roe Lake School. She and Glen married in 1953 and spent most of their lives in the Cariboo, moving to Oliver in the spring of 1981. Her retirement was also blessed by Maui’s warm winter sands and Canim Lake’s glorious sunsets. Graveside interment service will be held at the Roe Lake Cemetery on Thursday, September 29, at 1:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Roe Lake Community Hall.
