In loving memory ~
Iris is survived by her husband John, brother David (Barbara) Frost and niece Gillian.
Iris was born in Liverpool, England to parents Joseph and Edith Frost. She grew up in Liverpool and took her nurses training. In 1955, her adventurous spirit took her to Ottawa, Canada where she worked as a nurse for about a year and then she moved to Vancouver to work at Grace Hospital for the next 10 years. Iris then became an operating room nurse at V.G.H. where she would work until retirement 25 years later.
In 1957 a nursing friend suggested Iris join her at Pollard's guest ranch in Clinton.
Iris loved the ranch and also met a handsome dude called John. She continued to come back to the ranch for many years, she so enjoyed the horse back riding and the Cariboo. Many years later Iris and John met up again in Vancouver and renewed their friendship. They were married in 1975.
Iris and John bought their cabin on South Green Lake in 1974 and after retirement in 1991 made it their forever home. They spent many years travelling to many different countries and traveled to and around California and Arizona area. They decided they liked Parker Dam and wintered there for the next 12 years.
Iris was a social, active lady who loved her life at Green Lake. She enjoyed horse back riding, snowmobiling, boating, golfing, gardening and walking in the forest.
After breaking her pelvis in 2017 Iris was forced to slow down. For the following years Iris met many medical issues with courage and determination.
Thank you to Dr. Omar and the nursing staff at 100 Mile District Hospital for taking great care of Iris.
Per her request there will be no service or celebration of life.
