It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard Lawrence Bell on Oct. 26, 2016, at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, British Columbia. Howard leaves behind his beloved wife Lorna of 68 years, his children Bev (Bob), Dan, Lawrence (Audrey), and Mary Ellen, his grandchildren Brian, Russell, Robi, Krista (Alan), and TJ, and seven great grandchildren. Howie was born in Mazenod, Saskatchewan on July 4, 1928 and moved to British Columbia at the age of seventeen. He remained in the province, but always considered himself “a transplanted prairie chicken”.

Howie spent his working days as a heavy equipment operator, trucker, and always his own mechanic. His passion in life was his family, woodworking, fishing, and the great outdoors. Howie was an incredible tease, and was always joking with everyone he met. The world has lost the most wonderful man; to know Howie was to love him. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at the United Church in 100 Mile House, British Columbia.
