1916 - 2010

Jack passed away peacefully at his residence, Haven Hill Retirement Centre, in Penticton, B.C. on Sept. 8, 2010. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife, Anne in January 2007. They retired to 108 Mile House Ranch in the early 1970s and built their home located on Bryan Cres. Jack was an avid golfer and bowler and he also enjoyed cross country skiing and gardening. He was interested and involved in all avenues of the political and environmental movements in Canada. He was proud of being a World War II Vet and he was a member of a number of organizations including the NDP, the Masonic Order, The Royal Canadian Legion, Canadian Order of Foresters and the Canadian Wildlife Foundation.

Jack will be missed by his son, John (Bev); grandchildren, Darren of Victoria, B.C., Alison (Kevin) of Coaldale, Alta. and Brian (Kim) of Whitecourt, Alta., great-grandchildren, Dilon, Jason, Alicia, Katie and nieces Peggy and Eleanor.

Our family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers for the exceptional care and love during his time at Haven Hill which gave him a sense of contentment and a place to call home.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Canadian Legion, 100 Mile House, on Saturday, Oct. 9th between

1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
