We are greatly saddened to announce the sudden passing of our loving mother and grandmother on Aug. 2, 2016 in Kamloops, BC.
Helen was born in Kensington, PEI in 1937 and moved to Lac la Hache in 1956 to marry Doug (Douglas Allison). Lac la Hache was her home for nearly 50 years until she moved to Kamloops in 2004 to be closer to family after Doug predeceased her in 2003.Helen will be dearly missed by her children, Joanne (Stephen), Steven (Kelly), Lorraine (Tim), David (Kelly) and Martyn (Karin).
She leaves behind heartbroken grandchildren, Keith (Hilary), Jennifer, Kyle, Chelsea, Eric, Nicole, Colby and Declyn.
Family has always been the focus of Helen’s life. She also loved quiet times with close friends and was passionate about her country. She was a true Canadian and encouraged us to be proud of where we live and who we are. We will always remember and appreciate the deep love and sense of family she nurtured. Because of her, we will carry that family legacy forward.
She will be part of us forever and we will miss her so much. A private Celebration of a Lifetime of Love was held in Kamloops on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016.
