It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Bailey of Blackstock Road, 100 Mile House, formerly of 70 Mile House. Helen passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 in Royal Inland Hospital (Kamloops).
Helen is predeceased by her first husband John Robert (Bob) Johnston 1981, also by her second husband Arthur (Art) Bailey, 2008.
Born: December 30, 1938 at St. Paul's hospital, Vancouver, BC.
Helen grew up in Alert Bay, BC with her brother Dick and her sister Kay. After graduation she joined the Air Force and was stationed in Newfoundland where she met her first husband Bob. Helen was a hard worker and, after raising two sons, went back to work. She started on the assembly line and worked her way up to Purchasing Manager before retiring in her 40's after her first husband Bob passed away. She met her second husband Art a few years later and together they enjoyed retirement, travelling and building wonderful homes in Sechelt and then 70 Mile house before Arts passing.
Helen is survived by her 2 sons, Mark (Debbie), Raymond (Kelly), Grandchildren: Valerie, Nathan (Sarah), Latisha, Tom. Also, great grandchildren: Joshua & Dominic, Aaliyah & Harlow. She is also survived by 5 stepsons, William, Allan, Walter, Richard, and Don. Grandchildren: Brittany, Nicole, Jacob, Kyle, Jeffrey, Brayden, Keesha, Michael, Andrea, Johnathan, Shauna, Shelby, Walter, William. Also, great grandchildren: Gunner, Cooper, Philip, Alianna, Samuel.
Helen was surrounded by many great friends who helped keep her supported and busy, notably Lynn and Bill Plewes and Leona and Jim French. She was a very active lady who loved to golf, curl, bowl and sew. She was also actively involved in the Lutheran Church in 100 Mile House.
Helen will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, January 25th, 2 pm to be held at the:
Creekside Seniors Centre, 501 Cedar Ave., 100 Mile House, BC
Snacks and refreshment to be served in the hall after the service.
